Beckett
Looks like EuroManx are advertising on Border - is this a first for the Isle of Man?
cheesemonster2005
Yeah it's a first but it's not the first time it's been mentioned on this forum! At least people are noticing the ad's. Fly to the Isle of Man: only 95 pounds Fly to Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Spain: only 40 pounds Which would you choose?

Declan
That was in the days when it seemed to consist of one man - the mysterious Mr TV Kelly.
manxman8180
The Steam Packet ran ads on TV as well a few years back. Don't know how successful they were. I'm guessing seeing as we don't see them any more......not very.
Deejay Denzel
The department of tourism & Leisure used to advertise on ITV "The Isle of Man when I was a lad, they say you should never go back. it's bound to have changed, and do you know what... it hasn't" What a load of cod crap that was back then, even more so now! Brad_Naylor
I’m really quite surprised more Manx companies don’t advertise on the TV, I made some enquiries a while back and it really isn’t that expensive for what you get, compared to say, a full page add in the courier or local radio packages. simon
Seems strange them advertising on Border TV in some ways. Given that the ads seem to be aimed at people travelling to the IOM. And given that they don't actually fly to or from anywhere UK side which is in the Border TV region. Do many people from the Border TV region visit the IOM ? Compared for example with visitors from anywhere else.
manxchatterbox
maybe they are hoping that visitors to the Lake District etc might see the ads and think about coming to the IOm when they get home to whereever they have come from such as Manchester, Birmingham etc...
